I have put together a very comprehensive list of  yoga  poses we teach in our Oakville yoga studio.  I will be going into each one of them individually in the next few months and expanding further on each one. This combination of breathing and stretching works wonders on our bodies. And that is a great reason to take our Oakville yoga classes.  The Keys to Yoga and Detox. If you are thinking of starting a "detox" program, one of the keys is yoga. Yoga can be the  ideal companion. The practice of yoga places a focus on systematically wringing, compressing and stretching the body. Most postures involve twists, pushing and pulling which essentially massage the internal organs-namely the digestive system. This movement facilitates removal of waste products like Carbon Dioxide, lactic acid and lymphatic fluid from deep tissues. Yogic breathing also plays an important role in detox. Poor posture, and stress leads to rounding of the back or "hunghing". The diaphragm (a muscle at the bottom of the ribcage which assists in breathing) becomes clenched, not allowing the lungs to fill. As a result we cannot get enough Oxygen when we breathe in and we are not able t expel carbon dioxide when we exhale. It remains trapped as stale air in our lungs.
